Very Young Girls film screening

In honor of Women's History Month, the NYC Women's Task Force (YWTF) would like to invite you to a film screening of Very Young Girls, an expose of the commercial sexual exploitation of girls in New York City as they are sold on the streets by pimps and treated as adult criminals by police. The film identifies hope for these girls in the organization GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services), a recovery agency founded and run by Rachel Lloyd, herself a survivor of sexual exploitation.

March 30th at 7:00pm

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO GEMS, the only organization in New York State specifically designed to serve girls and young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking. Details at: http://gems-girls.org/

JOIN YWTF FOR DRINKS & PETITION SIGNING
Following the film screening, YWTF invites you to join them at Franklin Park to have some drinks, and to sign important petitions and letter-writing to policy-makers to enact stronger anti-trafficking laws, improve law enforcement response and increase social services to help women and girls escape trafficking, and learn more about what you can do to be involved.
